Topolansky was established in 1992. We import Furniture and other decorating accessories with an emphasis on quality and value.
Our company values its relationship with our clients above all else. We have a long history with loyal customers buying goods from us over many years. It is this ethos which places us in a unique position in the market place. The owners of the company are always available for advice and to deal directly with our clients.
Our showroom is situated in the heart of Sandton, along William Nicol Drive. Our showroom has become a landmark along this well known and sought after stretch of road and has been architecturally acclaimed in the “Built” magazine (November/December 2004 issue). The building was developed and is owned by our company. Thus we avoid the huge rentals normally associated with having a showroom in Sandton.

Zambezi Teak is the finest, hardest, furniture wood available. Twice the density, and therefore weight, of traditional Asian Teak, and with a stunningly beautiful, deep, rich, grain. Each piece we make is uniquely handcrafted to last many generations.

Pierre Cronje personally selects a variety of timbers that he chooses to manufacture his customised hand crafted furniture. Among the many woods that he works with are: Mahogany, Ash, French Oak, Cedar and Yellowwood
A master craftsman (sometimes called only master or grandmaster) was a member of a guild. In the European guild system, only master craftsmen were allowed to be members of the guild.
An aspiring master would have to pass through the career chain from apprentice to journeyman before he could be elected to become a master craftsman. He would then have to produce a sum of money and a masterpiece before he could actually join the guild. If the masterpiece was not accepted by the masters, he was not allowed to join the guild, possibly remaining a journeyman for the rest of his life. Becoming a master was often very hard

Did I choose wood or did wood choose me – with a name like EMBER its hard to know for sure, although my parents insist that my name is taken from the time of my birth, December, and has nothing to do with glowing log fires. Either way I have had a life long interest in, and love of wood in all its forms. By the time I was
3 I had my own small saw and hammer and was dedicated apprentice to my dad, “Martin the Mend”, learning practical skills which were to become the foundation of my trade. Always adventurous I moved from climbing trees to being inspired by them. I hope the images on my website illustrade my skill in the medium and inspire you to commission an “EMBERS” original of your own.
